Jaguar reveal the ‘XE’ model at Geneva Motorshow

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have today released images of their new XE model at the Geneva motorshow.

It’s great news for the UK Automotive industry and one of the models that Nova’s design engineers have been working on tooling projects for.

The new model (internally codenamed X760) is designed with an aluminium body and will be built at the JLR facilities in both Solihull and Castle Bromwich and fitted with the new engine, called the “Ingenium”.

The engines will be built at the factory currently being completed on the i54 site.

The factory will eventually employ in excess of 1,400 people.

The Jaguar XE will be the first user of the Ingenium engines in four cylinder two-litre petrol and diesel variants, which will give it speeds of up to 186mph, but emissions lower than 100g of CO2 per km.
